Q Just as Gilgamesh had a lot to tell us about cultural values in Sumerian society, so the visual artwork produced in Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt have a lot to tell us about the cultures that produced them. Focusing either on just Egypt or Mesopotamia and Egypt, identify an important theme/value/set of values that is (are) represented in visual art, and describe how representative examples signify/resent these values. You can answer the question by: (1) Comparing how a particular value (set of values) is represented in Mesopotamian vs Egyptian art and.or architecture. (2) Identifying a particular value (set of values) and demonstrating how it is represented in multiple examples of Egyptian art/architecture. Please be sure that your reflection follows the guidelines that I previously provided. For this reflection, no works cited or in-text citation is needed; you need only give the name of the example of art or architecture.

1)Ancient Egyptian art is said to be static, formal, and strangely abstract. Their art served a different purpose. Much of the artwork created by the Egyptians is related to religion. They filled the tomb of the Pharaohs with paintings and sculptures to help them in their afterlife. The temples had large statues of their gods and there were many paintings on the walls. The ancient Egyptians built their pyramids, palaces, tombs, and temples out of stone, which was the most durable building material. The buildings were decorated with carved stone images, hieroglyphs, paintings, and three-dimensional statues.
